This was an interesting location for me as it didn’t feel like another one of those really well made, pretty show houses and the ragged beauty of the interiors were preserved. Some of the things inside also reminded me of my grandmother’s house so it brought a wave of nostalgia for me.
I also loved being able to go up to the roof and seeing the structure up there and the old straw suitcases and snowshoes they had on display. It’s quite a rare thing that they’d let you go up to the roofs of old houses like this unsupervised. That was also a really cool aspect I thought.
It’s always fun to be able to look around inside an old house.
In spring you can see beautiful cherry blossom in front of this house.
This old house is the same place as Takumi no Sato Soba Making.
