「五竜の滝」は、裾野市中央公園（入場無料、無料駐車場有）にある全5筋の滝です。
左の3筋が雄滝（冒頭の写真）、その右にあるちょっと細い2筋が雌滝です。それぞれに名前が付いていて（左から雄滝は「雪解け」「富士見」「月見」、雌滝は「銚子」「狭衣」）、全体で五竜の滝と呼ばれ、静岡県の天然記念物に指定されています。
約1万年前の「新富士山三島溶岩流」の末端にできた滝で、御殿場方面から溶岩の上を流れたきた黄瀬川（きせがわ）が、下流へと流れ落ちています。こんなところまで、溶岩が流れて来た、ということに驚かされます。
公園内では、滝のすぐ近くまで行くことができ、水飛沫でひんやりしています。
吊り橋があって、吊り橋の中ほどからは（多少揺れますが）雄滝を真正面から見ることができます。
ちょっと地味な公園ですが、涼やかな滝はとても見事。一見の価値があります。
